CELEBRATE SERVICE!!

DAY AWAY PROGRAM HOLDS VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION TEA

The Day Away Program celebrated National Volunteer Week, by treating all their volunteers to a “Tea” at the Minot Sleeper Library. Libby Danahy provided a backdrop of piano music. Specialty teas were served by steering committee members, and a wide variety of food was enjoyed by all. National Volunteer Week occurs annually for one week in April. Organizations across the USA plan special volunteer work projects and recognize their volunteers, who contribute so much to the success of their programs. The Day Away Program is privileged to have such a great group of talented volunteers. Volunteers serve in many capacities: being a one on one companion, helping with exercise, arts & crafts, meals, special events, fundraising, steering committee members, leading music, bringing their therapy dogs, and much more. If you would like to join us as a volunteer, sharing your talents and bringing joy to our participants and families, call Fran Olson 744-6828 volunteer tea
